4 Days Mount Meru Itinerary
Day 1: Momella Gate to Miriakamba Hut
1,500m to 2,514m
Start from Momella Gate, hike through forest with wildlife viewing opportunities. Reach Miriakamba Hut for overnight.
Day 2: Miriakamba Hut to Saddle Hut
2,514m to 3,570m
Steeper climb through heath and moorland zones. Reach Saddle Hut with views of the crater and Kilimanjaro.
Day 3: Summit Day - Rhino Point & Socialist Peak
3,570m to 4,562m
Early morning start for summit. Reach Rhino Point first, then continue to Socialist Peak (summit). Return to Miriakamba Hut.
Day 4: Descent to Momella Gate
2,514m to 1,500m
Final descent through the forest, wildlife viewing, return to Momella Gate.
